英語教師ボランティアの一日
こんにちわ、度々インターンシップのYoichiです。

ブログ＃２５でも書かせていただきました通り私の生徒たちはアメリカ英語以外の英語（つまり北アメリカの英語ではないもの、です）、イギリスだとかオーストラリア英語ですね、にまだ慣れ切ってはいません。
ということで今回もまた引き続きイギリス英語に慣れよう！ということで授業を進めてまいりました。
前回のようにスピーカーはイギリスのノーリッチというところ出身で、
とてもかっこいいアクセントを持っています。笑
まずいくつかビデオを基にした質問を書き、生徒たちに、聞きながら答えを探させました。
質問は５つ用意して、なんとほとんどの学生が４つ正解することができました！ものすごい成果です！
答えられなかったものは早口な部分なので確かに難しかったともいますが、５つ中４つ正解です！
しかも今回のは全員が苦労していたイギリス英語の中だったので余計にうれしいです！
少しづつではありますが、今までやってきたものが少しづつ報われ始めてきました。
そして残念なことに、、、本日8/3/2017の授業は最後から２番目の授業でした。。。
この３か月間一所懸命生徒の学力向上に努めてきて、また学生との距離もかなり縮まりました。
サヨナラは悲しいですが、彼らが英語力を伸ばしてきていることは本当にうれしいですね。
この土曜日が３か月の集中英語コースの最後の授業なわけですが、今まで以上に頑張って学生たちが楽しめるようにしたいですね！

Like I wrote before (blog #25), my students have trouble understanding non-American English (well, by which I mean non-North-American English) like British or Australian English for example. I, once again, decided to do some more British English listening in class.
Like the last time, the YouTuber I chose is from Norwich, England. He's got a really clear, cool-sounding accent. lol
I wrote down some questions I was expecting my students to get answers for from the video while watching it.
I did 5 questions and most of them got 4 of them right!! What a great achievement!! The one that most of them got wrong must have been hard for them because the speaker speaks fast when the answer appears. However, they got 4 out of 5 right!
I am very happy because that was a British accent that they have always had struggles with.
Little by little, what I have been doing is paying off!
And so sadly..... Today, 8/3/2017, was the 2nd last day of the entire course.... I have been doing my best trying to improve my students' English skills and I have made strong bonds with them too. It is surely sad to have to say good bye to them but I am so happy for them at the same time for having gotten better at English.
This Saturday is the last day of this 3-month course. I will put a whole lot more efforts into it and let them have a blast!!
